Strictly necessary
A single session cookie keeps you signed in and secures your account. It is required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. We may also store a small preference locally, such as your chosen reading language.
Analytics — but not the creepy kind
We count article views to compile "most read". These counts are aggregated and de-duplicated per IP on the server for a short window; we do not build advertising profiles, fingerprint your device, or share the data with ad networks.
Third parties
Payment is handled by Stripe at checkout, which sets its own cookies needed to process the transaction securely. We do not embed third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the session cookie will stop you from signing in. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
